Pivot Point

Pivot Point - You guys, this book!! It completely blindsided me, I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. Disclaimer, it wasn't perfect. I'd pretty much figured out the plot by the time I was a quarter of the way through but for the first time in ever that didn't bother me at all. I don't know what it was. Ok, that was a lie, I know exactly what it was. I'll give you a hint, it starts with T and rhymes with Revor...Trevor! It was Trevor! I was a goner for Addie/Trevor from the moment the zombie note was left. I read their chapters with the gigantic sappy grin. It was very unlike myself. I don't mean to make you think that was the only worthwhile part because that is just not true. The writing was awesome, the dialogue just how I like it (quippy), Addie was hilarious and I loved the peripheral characters and the dynamic of Trevor's group of friends. It all felt very authentic to me but what really pushed me over the edge into loving it to pieces was Addie and Trevor and HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT UNTIL FEBRUARY FOR SPLIT SECOND?! HOW?!?! Sorry, lost the plot there for a second. Anyway, this book is definitely worth a read if you like contemporary with a twist of something extra. So go, check it out. Now.
